This hat pattern is toddler/child size:
The pumpkin hat: with Flame Orange a J Hook 6.0mm
I used a st marker and I did not join my rows, to me it just looks nicer.
Ch3
Row 1. Wk 9hdc in the 3rd st from the hook-9sts.
Row 2. 2hdc in each st-18sts.
Row 3. 1hdc, 2hdc in each st-27sts.
Row 4. 1hdc in 2sts, 2hdc in the next st-36sts.
Row 5. 1hdc in 3sts, 2hdc in the next st-45sts.
Row 6. 1hdc in 4sts, 2hdc in the next st-54sts.
Rows 7-17. 1hdc in each st, do not FO yet-54sts.
To make the ear flap: J Hook
Row 18. 1sc in 12sts, ch1 & turn.
Row 19. dec1, 1sc in 8sts, dec1, ch1& turn.
Row 20. 1sc in 10sts.
Row 21. dec1, 1sc in 6sts, dec1, ch1 & turn.
Row 22. 1sc in 8sts.
Row 23. Dec1, 1sc in 4sts, dec1, ch1 & turn.
Row 24. 1sc in 6sts, ch1 & turn.
Row 25. dec1, 1sc in 2sts, dec1, ch1 & turn.
Row 26. 1sc in 4sts, ch1 & turn.
Row 27. dec1, dec1, ch1 & turn.
Row 28. dec1 and FO.
To make the second ear flap:
Leave about 21sts in the front part of the hat, attach yarn.
Repeat rows 18-28 and FO.


Ear flaps for the pumpkin hat: (make 2)
Do rows 18-19 with Bright Yellow
Do rows 20-25 with Flame Orange
Do rows 26-28 with White
After the ear flaps are made wk 1sc in each st around entire hat
including both ear flaps and FO.

To make the eyes for the pumpkin hat: with a G hook
Row 1. wk 6sc in the second st from the hook.
Row 2. 2sc in each st-12sts.
Row 3. 1sc, 2sc in the next st, and FO-18sts.
The second eye:
Row 1. repeat rows 1-2
Row 2. wk 1sc in 1st, 2sc in the next st, stop you've counted 12sts and FO.
Sew the 2 eyes together slightly and sew to hat.
Cut-out 2 small circles with black felt and glue on top of the eyes.
Cut-out a mouth and tongue and sew in place.


To make the stem: with Tan and a G hook
Ch2
Row 1. wk 6sc in each st.
Row 2. 2sc in each st-12sts.
Row 3. In the BLO wk 1sc in each st around.
Repeat until it's the size you want.

To make the leaves: with Spring Green
Ch2
1sc in 2sts, 1hdc in 4, 1dc in 1, 6dc in the last st.
1dc, 1hdc in 4, 1sc in 2 and FO.
To make the smaller leaf:
Ch7
1sl st, 1sc in 2, 1hdc in 2, 1dc in 1, 6dc in the last st.
1dc, 1hdc in 2, 1sc in 2 and FO.

    Candy Corn Bag: with a G hook With White yarn
Ch2
Row 1. Wk 6sc in the second st from the hook.
Row 2. 2sc in each st-12sts.
Row 3. 1sc in 12sts.
Row 4. 1sc, 2sc in the next st-18sts.
Rows 5-6. 1sc in 18sts.
Change to Orange yarn
Row 7. 1sc in 2, 2sc in the next st-24sts.
Row 8. 1sc in 24sts.
Row 9. 1sc in 3, 2sc in the next st-30sts.
Rows 10-14. 1sc in each st-30sts.
Change to Yellow yarn
Row 15. 1sc in 4sts, 2sc in the next-36sts.
Rows 16-18. 1sc in each st and FO-36sts.

To make the handle: with a G hook
Ch31
Row 1. 1sc in 29sts, 3sc in the last st, 1sc in each st on the other side,
wk 2sc in the last st and FO.
Sew one side of the handle to each side of bag.

To make the pumpkin bag: (make 2, 1 in Flame & White)

Ch2
Row 1. Wk 6sc in the second st from the hook.
Row 2. 2sc in each st-12sts.
Row 3. 1sc, 2sc in the next st-18sts.
Row 4. 1sc in 2, 2sc in the next st-24sts.
Row 5. 1sc in 3, 2sc in next st-30sts.
Row 6. 1sc in 4, 2sc in next st-36sts.
Row 7. 1sc in 5, 2sc in next st-42sts.
With yellow wk 1sc around both pieces.

Hold both pieces together and wk 1sc half way round both and FO.
With Bright yellow make a ch long enough to reach from one end to the other, sew in place.
To make the small pillow: with a 4.5mm hook

With White yarn Ch2 Row 1. 6sc in the second st from the hook.
Row 2. 2sc in each st-12sts.
Row 3. 1sc, 2sc in the next st-18sts.
Row 4. 1sc in 2, 2sc in the next st-24sts.
Rows 5-10. 1sc in each st-24sts.
Change to Orange yarn
Row 11. 1sc in 3, 2sc in the next st-30sts.
Row 12. 1sc in each st-30sts.
Row 13. 1sc in 4, 2sc in the next st-36sts.
Row 14. 1sc in each st-36sts.
Row 15. 1sc in 5, 2sc in the next st-42sts.
Rows 16-19. 1sc in each st-42sts
Row 20. 1sc in 6, 2sc in the next st-48sts.
Rows 21-22. 1sc in each st-48sts.
Row 23. 1sc in 7, 2sc in the next st-54sts.
Row 24. 1sc in each st-54sts.
Row 25. 1sc in 8, 2sc in the next st-60sts.
Rows 26-27. 1sc in each st-60sts.
Row 28. 1sc in 9sts, 2sc in the next-66sts.
Row 29. 1sc in each st-66sts.
Change to Yellow yarn
Rows 30-37. Repeat row 29, do not FO ch1 & turn.
Holding both sides together wk 1sc through both pieces, stuff and FO.
