Valentine's Day Table Setting Cute Simple Crafting

Say "I Love You"
By Connie's Spot©

With things you have around the house.
I had these white paper lunch bags...
left over from when my daughter went to school...
so I made this cute table setting...
most of the stuffI had left over from Christmas!

Here's all the things I used...
I forgot to put in my red plastic cellophane...
paper bags, mod podge, paint brush, scissors,
x-acto knife, double sided tape, a heart shape
to use as a template, ribbon, glitter and
battery operated tea lights.
I traced my shape onto the bag and then I
cut it out. It was really hard to cut out
the shape so I cut my bag open and
then taped it back together...
Then tape the cellophane down
I used the paint brush to brush on the
mod podge then I poured my glitter
all over it...I did that a few times
to get good coverage!

I tied a cute little bow and used
double side tape to hold it in place!

It's really cute and I am going to make a
little romantic dinner on Valentine's Day!
Happy Crafting & Happy Valentines Day!

Free Valentine Cake Recipe, When Two Hearts Become One! By Conne's Spot©

When Two Hearts Become One
Free Valentine Cake Recipe!
By Connie's Spot©

If you love Red Velvet and Chocolate,
then you will love this little cake!
You can do this chocolate coating on any
cake or brownie, I used Red Velvet because
it's my husband's favorite cake.
Here's one without the chocolate!
I made my cake in a large cake pan,
so it would be thinner and easier
to use my heart shaped cookie cutter!

After I had them all cut-out I spread
a really thin layer of frosting,
for my crumb coat.
For the Cream Cheese frosting:
1 8oz pkg. of Philadephia Cream Cheese
1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
and two chocolate hearts
to place on top!
Beat butter, cream cheese until blended
add sugar a little at a time, add
vanilla, beat until
smooth and fluffy!
To keep the crumbs out of my frosting I
keep a bowl handy and use the sides
to scrape off the crumbs...before I put
my spatula back in my frosting!

When you have them all covered,
place in the refrigerator to chill.
After chilling remove them
and put frosting on each cake piece.
Stack two hearts together and finish frosting, making sure you put a
good amount
of frosting in between the
two cake pieces.

I cut up and saved the extra
pieces of cake to put in ice cream.
If Cold Stone can do it so can I...
To make the Chocolate Coating:
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
4 Bakers Semi Sweet Chocolate Squares
Microwave in a bowl for about
2 minutes, cool for 5 or 6 minutes
stir it really good until butter and
chocolate is thoroughly combined.
This cake is so good and the chocolate
just makes it even better!
Happy Baking!!

Crochet Pom-Pom Frame Craft Project@ Connie's Spot©

Crochet Pom-Pom Frame Craft Project!!
By Connie's Spot©
Here's a quick & easy craft project!
Make this adorable Pom-Pom Frame for you're
favorite one...or let the kids make it...this is a fun and easy
project for kids...just make a bunch of these pom-poms glue
them onto a wood frame that's been painted.

I also made a matching scarf for my pup...I used my Granny Triangle
Scarf pattern...I only did 5 rows and then I worked 1sc in 4sts, ch1 & turn.
I repeated that until the band reached around my pup's neck and to the other
side, I then worked 1sc, ch2, sk 2sts, 1sc in the last st, ch1 & turn.
1sc, 2sc in the ch2 space, 1sc and FO.

I painted my frame pink to match my pink pom-poms

To make easy and perfect size pom-poms use the Pom-Pom maker
by Yarnology...I love it and it and it cost $9.99 at Hobby Lobby...
it comes with 4 different sizes...and if you make hats and
put pom-poms on them then you have to get one of these!
I then glued my pom-poms onto my frame...this would be really cute
for Easter of St. Patrick's Day, or for any day!
