"Gone Fishing"
I just finished this little fishing basket,
fish and little fishing hat!
The catch of the day!!
Free pattern for the yellow and blue fish are below...I had
planned on writing the pattern for the fishing basket
but it kind of got away from me!
Yellow & Black Striped Fish Pattern
Make 2 with a G hookCh 2
Row 1. 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 2. 2sc in each st, ch 1 & turn.
Row 3. 1sc in 4 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 4. 2sc, 1sc in next 2sts, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 5. 1sc in 6 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 6. 2sc, 1sc in 4 sts, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 7. 1sc in next 8 sts, change to black in the last st,
Row 8. 2sc, 1sc in 6, 2sc, change back to yellow.
Row 9. 1sc in 10 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 10. 2sc in next st. 1sc in 8, 2sc in last, ch 1 & turn.
Row 11. 1sc in 12 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 12. 2sc, 1sc in next 10, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 13. 1sc in 14 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 14. 2sc, 1sc in 12, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 15. 1sc in 16 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 16-18. Repeat row 15, change to black in the last st of row 18.
Row 19. Turn and ch 4, wk 1sc in 6sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 20. 1sc in 5 ch 1 and turn.
Row 21. 1sc in 5, 2sc in next 2, FO.
Row 22. Attach yarn to other side and wk 1sc in 3 sts, turn and ch 4, 1sc in 3-6sts.
Row 23. 1sc in each st, ch 1 & turn-6sts.
Row 24. Repeat row 23.
Row 25. 1sc in 5 sts, 2sc in last st, FO.
Row 26. Attach yarn sk 3 sts, wk 1sc in 4 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Rows 27-28. 1sc in 4, ch 1 & turn.
Row 29. 2sc, 1sc in next 2, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 30. 1sc in 6, ch 1 & turn.
Row 31. 2sc, 1sc in 4, 2sc, FO.
With an F hook attach yellow yarn with a sl st and wk 1 sc around both fish panels. Then crochet both panels together and lightly stuff. Sew on the fins and glue goggle eyes or sew on buttons.
To make the fins (make 2)Ch 2
Row 1. 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 2. 1sc in 2, ch 1 & turn.
Row 3. 2sc, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 4. 1sc in 4, ch 1 & turn.
Row 5. 2sc, 1sc in 2, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 6. 1sc in 6 sts, Change to black.
Row 7. 2sc, 1sc in 4, 2sc and FO.
The Blue Fish Pattern
Make 2

Row 1. 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 2. 2sc in each st, ch 1 & turn.
Row 3. 2sc, 1sc in 2, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 4. 1sc in 6 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 5. 2sc, 1sc in 4, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 6. 1sc in 8, ch 1 & turn.
Row 7. 2sc, 1sc in 6, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 8. 1sc in 10, ch 1 & turn.
Row 9. 2sc, 1sc in 8, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 10. 1sc in 12 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 11. 2sc, 1sc in 10, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Rows 12-16. 1sc in 14 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 17. dec 1, 1sc in 10 sts, dec 1, ch 1 & turn.
Row 18. 1sc in 12 sts, ch 1 & turn.

Attach yellow
Ch 1
Row 1. 2sc in st, ch 1 & turn.
Row 2. 2sc, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Rows 3-7. 1sc in 4, ch 1 & turn.
Row 8. 2sc, 1sc in 2, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Rows 9-10. 1sc in 6 sts. ch 1 and wk 1sc around each entire fish.
Crochet both pieces together and lightly stuff.
To make the white around the eyes use a D hook.
Ch 5, 1sc in 4 sts and FO. Sew to the body of the fish and place the eye right underneath it.
With a G hook make the side fins (make 2)
Ch 3
Rows 1-2. 1sc in 2 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 3. 2sc, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Rows 4-5. 1sc in 4 sts, change to yellow.
Row 6. 2sc, 1sc in 2, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 7. 1sc in 6 sts, ch 1 & turn.
Row 8. 2sc, 1sc in 4sts, 2sc, ch 1 & turn.
Row 9. 1sc in 8 sts and FO.
With blue wk 1sc around the fin and FO. Sew in place on the fish’s
Body.
