Halloween Candy Dish©

Here's My New
Halloween Candy Dish©
and Free Pattern!!

I love festive candy dishes but I can’t stand it when they
don’t have a lid…So I made mine with one! : )
Halloween Candy Dish© and Lid Pattern
Materials Used:
*Red Heart Super Saver Black
*Red Heart Orange
*Red Heart Light Green
*Red Heart Tan
*G 4.0mm Hook
*Yarn Needle
*Sewing needle & thread in black
For the bottom of the Dish, with black
Ch. 3
Row 1
Work 11 hdc sts into the last chain on the hook
Sl st in beg. Ch 2
Row 2
Ch 2, wk 2 hdc all the way around
Sl st in ch 2
Row 3
Ch 2 wk 2 hdc into the next st. wk 1 hdc into the next st
Repeat all the way around, sl st in ch 2

Row 4
Ch 2, wk 1 hdc, wk 2 hdc sts in the next, sl st in ch 2
Repeat all the way around
Row 5
Repeat row 4
I crocheted my dish big enough to hold my plastic bowl
Row 6
Ch 2 wk 1 hdc into the next st, wk 2 hdc sts into the next, wk 1 hdc in the next 3 sts, repeat all the way around, sl st in ch 2
Row 7
Ch 2, wk 1 hdc in the back loops of each st around, sl st in ch 2
Row 8
Wk 1 hdc in each st around, sl st in ch 2

Row 9
Ch 2, repeat row 8, in last st change color to orange
Repeat next 2 rows
Using orange
Switching to black for the last two rows
With orange wk 3 dc’s into each front loop, wk all the way around
Switching to black to make trim, sc in each st around
This completes the dish, it is a very simple pattern. With many repeating rows.
For the Lid
Make 2
Repeat the same sts as you used for the bottom
Stitch the two pieces together using yarn and yarn needle
For trim use orange yarn sc in each st around
For the Leaves make 3
Row 1 ch 9
Row 2, sc 1 on the 2nd st from hook
Work 3 dc into the next 3 sts
1 hdc in the next
1 sc
Sl st into the last ch
Repeat the same sts on the other side, fasten off

For the Pumpkin
Ch 2, wk 6 hdc into the 2nd st from the hook
Wk 2 sts in each st around
Continue in the round, stuffing it with fiber fill
For the stem
Ch 4, wk 1sc in each stitch around, I did about 3 rows
Then using my needle and thread I sewed it together
For small leaves make 2
Ch 4
Wk 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, fasten off
Stitch stem, small leaves to the pumpkin and attach the bigger
leaves to the lid.
This completes Halloween Candy Dish©.
