Ch 2
Row 11. Wk 1hdc in the BLO all the way around, ch 2 and turn.
Rows 12-19. Wk 1hdc in each st around, FO in the last st in the ninth row. Weave in the loose ends with a tapestry needle.
To make the ringlets, use Bright Pink Yarn an H hook.
Ch 50 or 60
Wk 3sc in each ch st across and FO. Make as many as you would like. I made 12. I made some of the chains longer, so the ringlets weren’t all the same. I used a sewing needle and matching thread and sewed each ringlet in place near the center of the hat and work your way out. Or you can sew them on each side of the hat to make pig tails.
For the Bow I used Red Heart Yarn in Purple an a G hook (make two)
Ch 9
Row 1. Wk 1sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn.
Row 2. Dec 2, 1sc in 4 sts, dec 2, ch 1 and turn.
Row 3. 1sc in the next 6 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 4. Dec 2, 1sc in the next 2 sts, dec 2, ch 1 and turn.
Row 5. Dec 2, dec 2, ch 1 and turn.
Row 6. Wk 1sc in the next 2 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 7. Wk 2sc in the next 2 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 8. Wk 1sc in 4 sts, ch 1 and turn.
Row 9. Wk 2sc in the first st, 1sc in the next 2, 2sc in the last st, ch 1 and turn.
Row 10. Wk 1sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn.
Row 11. Wk 2sc in the first st, 1sc in the next 4 sts, 2sc in the last st and FO. Sc both pieces together and FO.
To make the center of the bow ch 4 and wk 1sc in 3 sts, ch 1 and turn. Make it just long enough to go around the center of both bows. Then sew in place and then sew to hat.
To make the cheeks, use Light Pink Yarn and a G hook
Ch 2
Row 1. Wk 6sc in the second ch on the hook-6sts
Row 2. Wk 2sc in each st around-12sts.
Row 3. Wk 1sc in the first st, 2sc in the next, all the way around-18sts.
Sew one on each side of face. With black yarn and a tapestry needle embroider a smile and two eye lashes on each eye. Sew buttons in place.
