Unusual Halloween Candy Dishes

It's Almost Halloween and time to
make something cute for that special
trick or treater in your life!

I made these three candy dishes...each one a little different!

The little sign my green guy is carrying took
me forever to make...and when I finally got it where I was at
least happy with it...my husband sits down and says you
miss spelled it...his joke didn't go over to well...he
was very close to looking like my little green guy!
This is what happens when you stay up to late!

Infinity Scarf and the Bane Insired Hat from Batman

"Infinity scarf"
I just finished this for my daughter
she wanted a tan colored one to match a coat she has!
She wanted one just like the blue one I made!
It's always special when you make something for
the people you love...and these two (soon to be 3) are such a joy for me!
This yarn is called Loops & Threads Charisma, the color is Taupe.
You can find this yarn at Michael's Craft Store and the pattern
is on my blog in a post titled My First Infinity Scarf Pattern!

The Bane inspired Hat from Batman

My son-in-law sent me a picture of this hat and asked
me if I could make him one...well with some real
trial and error I finally finished it tonight!

I hope he likes it...he has such a fun spirit and he has
so much fun wearing these hats...I love
making them for him.

Halloween Door Accents and How Too!

Halloween Door Accents
I was at the craft store the other day
and saw some of these little door accents...
I really liked them but they were $6 to $7 dollars a piece...
and I thought I could make some of
these with yarn, ribbon and felt.
So I did and this was really inexpensive...
I bought some fun Halloween ribbon,
I had the yarn and batting in my
stock pile at home...
I printed out some free pumpkin
craving templates on my computer.
So this is what I did...
I sc a front and back panel,
big enough to hold my cut-out...
I pinned my cut-out
to my felt and cut that out...
after sealing and stuffing the
two pieces together,
I stitched it to my crochet piece!
If your kids were like mine...
they can never agree on which
decorations to buy...
and buying several gets expensive...
so this way they each can pick out
their very own door hanger
and even help with the making...
its so fun to get them involved and
Halloween is a day kids just love!

The pattern for the orange one
with the Raven on it is
2dc in the 1st st,
ch 2 wk one sc in the 2nd ch st
sk one, wk 2 dc in the next st, repeat
all the way around!

My ribbon was at
"Michael's Craft Store"

Happy Crafting!!

Here's My Free Infinity Scarf Pattern©

My First Free Infinity Scarf Pattern©
By Connie Hughes Designs©

This scarf is so easy and fun to make!
I Chained 151, I can wrap my scarf around my head loosely
twice, you can make your chain longer if you want a longer scarf!

Hook size 8mm
Yarn is Loops & Threads Charisma
I used 2 skeins Electric Blue

Ch 151
Row 1
1 sc in each stitch across, ch 2 and turn-150
Row 2
Now this is stitch I couldn't find the name of, but what you do is 1dc side ways like you would a post stitch, but this is worked into two sc stitches.
Like in the photo below, dc just like you normally would.
This will make that thick ridge, it's perfect
if you really want a thick winter scarf.

You just repeat rows 1 and 2 until it's the width you want, I made mine exactly 5 inches wide.
Fasten off, leave a long tail and whip stitch together!
