Free Crochet Back to School Pencil Bag & Scarves Pattern©

Free Crochet Back to School Pencil Bag & Scarves Pattern©
By Connie Hughes Designs©

Hard to believe summer is almost over...now all the stores have
the back to school supplies out and on display...

These scarves are very easy to make and can be made in any length or width with some quick adjustments. These are perfect for younger children between the ages of 4 to 7.
If you want to make it for a bigger kid or teen make it longer and/or skinnier.

This is a big post with a lot of instructions & photo's. So go
all the way down to make sure you see everything!
Character Scarves Inspired by Monsters Inc. Mike & Sully one on each pocket!

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland!
This is my Minion Inspired School Bus Pencil Bag!
You always have to have a #2 Pencil so here's
the matching Scarf!
 Colored Pencil Scarf!
I know the first day back is the hardest...but the day
will come to an end...make a little one's 1st day
a little more fun by making these!

There is a list of materials above each pattern.

Hooks Used in Patter:
I 5.5mm
J 6.0mm
C 2.75mm
F 3.75mm
4.5.
Pencil Scarf Measures 43" Long/ 5½" Wide

Red Heart Yarns Used for the Pencil Scarf: If using Red Heart Yarns use Red Heart with Love Yarn especially for the yellow part of the scarf... it's just a much softer yarn.
Brown
Buff
Yellow
Light Grey
Light Raspberry
Quick Note:

For the beginning of this scarf you will ch1 & turn...it's tiresome to have to type that out for each row...so just know you will "ch1 & turn" at the end of each row until instructed...you will then change to Yellow and ch2 & turn.

Cut another piece of yarn and tie it around the 6 strands like in photo below.

To make the Monsters Inc: with Spring Green & Turquoise & I Hook
