Free Valentine Cake Recipe, When Two Hearts Become One! By Conne's Spot©

When Two Hearts Become One
Free Valentine Cake Recipe!

If you love Red Velvet and Chocolate,
then you will love this little cake!
You can do this chocolate coating on any
cake or brownie, I used Red Velvet because
it's my husband's favorite cake.
Here's one without the chocolate!
I made my cake in a large cake pan,
so it would be thinner and easier
to use my heart shaped cookie cutter!

After I had them all cut-out I spread
a really thin layer of frosting,
for my crumb coat.
For the Cream Cheese frosting:
1 8oz pkg. of Philadephia Cream Cheese
1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
and two chocolate hearts
to place on top!
Beat butter, cream cheese until blended
add sugar a little at a time, add
vanilla, beat until
smooth and fluffy!
To keep the crumbs out of my frosting I
keep a bowl handy and use the sides
to scrape off the crumbs...before I put
my spatula back in my frosting!

When you have them all covered,
place in the refrigerator to chill.
After chilling remove them
and put frosting on each cake piece.
Stack two hearts together and finish frosting, making sure you put a
good amount
of frosting in between the
two cake pieces.

I cut up and saved the extra
pieces of cake to put in ice cream.
If Cold Stone can do it so can I...
To make the Chocolate Coating:
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
4 Bakers Semi Sweet Chocolate Squares
Microwave in a bowl for about
2 minutes, cool for 5 or 6 minutes
stir it really good until butter and
chocolate is thoroughly combined.
This cake is so good and the chocolate
just makes it even better!
Happy Baking!!
